Presenting and organising Eucharistic Adoration in a Parish
At the invitation of the parish priest a representative of the Apostolate will visit the parish to meet the priests and some key lay people. A meeting will be held in the parish the week following the launch of Adoration to put the programme of Adoration in place.
What is the best location for Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration
A separate side chapel is most desirable as it provides for quietness and intimacy, which is not disturbed by other liturgical ceremonies. Such a chapel is easy to keep heated during the winter months. A former mortuary chapel, crying room or altar server's sacristy can often be suitably converted.
Does Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration place extra work on its Priests?
No.
Eucharistic Adoration does not add to the heavy workload of priests.
A representative of the Apostolate will attend the parish and set in place the structure of the parish Adoration programme and explain in detail everything necessary for its success. Ongoing backup is available to the local committee from the Diocesan and National Organisation.
All organisational responsibilities rest with the local committee who make sure that there are people available at all times during the period of Adoration. The leader of the Parish Adoration Committee keeps the parish clergy informed.
What we need is for every parish to come before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in holy hours of prayer
